Livre d'or

Our family (with three children) stayed at Villa Louise for four nights in October 2013. We found the rooms to be very clean. Even though the house is almost 100 years old, there were modern bathrooms and everything you might need. The house itself has very high ceilings and provides a special feeling- one you would not receive in an average hotel. We were able to make three day trips from Villa Louise- to Brussels, Luxembourg and a city in Holland. The town where Villa Louise is located (Stavelot) has significance in WWII history. The town of Stavelot is 15 minutes (by car) to a WWII military museum (www.baugnez44.be). My grandfather was in the Battle of the Bulge and it was very special to be so close to where he served. Fabienne was very friendly and spoke good English. There was a little grocery store across from the hotel. I would give the Villa Louise 4 stars.
